Refund policy

Thanks for shopping at Controversial T-shirts. Because most items are custom printed after you order (print-on-demand), our return rules are different from typical off-the-rack retail.

1. Final sale (most orders)

Custom-printed apparel and personalized items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged for:

• Change of mind
• Ordering the wrong size or color
• Disliking the design message or fit preferences after delivery
• Minor differences from on-screen mockups (color, print placement within normal production tolerance)

Please check the size guide before ordering.

2. What we will make right

Contact us within 14 days of delivery (or within 14 days of the estimated delivery date if the package never arrives) if:

• You received a defective item (print errors, manufacturing defects, damaged in transit)
• You received the wrong item, wrong size, or wrong design compared to your order
• Your order is confirmed lost by the carrier after a reasonable investigation

In those cases we may, at our option: reprint and reship, or refund the purchase price (and shipping where appropriate).

3. How to start a claim

Email contact@controversialtshirts.com with:

• Order number
• Description of the issue
• Clear photos of the product and packaging (for defect/damage claims)
• Photos of the size/care label if relevant

Do not return items unless we ask you to. Unauthorized returns may not be refunded.

4. Refund timing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing can take several business days depending on your bank or payment provider after we submit the refund.

5. Cancellations

Because production often starts quickly after checkout, we may not be able to cancel an order once it is in production or shipped. If you need to cancel, email us ASAP with your order number — we will try, but cancellation is not guaranteed.

6. Late or missing refunds

If you were approved for a refund and do not see it:

• Recheck your bank account / card statement
• Contact your bank (refunds can take time to post)
• Then contact us with your order number

7. Sale items

Unless noted otherwise, sale items follow the same rules as regular items.
